A few weeks ago, the Union Election Commission launched a website (checkvoterlist.uecmyanmar.org) for Burmese voters to confirm whether they’re actually registered on their wards’ voter rolls, without having to visit the UEC ward offices.
The website is Unicode-compliant and low-bandwidth friendly, making it more accessible for most Burmese internet users. The website is unfortunately in Burmese only (no option for other minority languages). The user interface is also quite simplified and clean, unlike the tendency for other Burmese websites that tend to be laden with content, lending me to believe this was project was probably fulfilled by an international web design firm.
The website also allows voters to check whether other biodata tied to their voter registration is correct.
